1:35 Zvedza Russian BMP 2d

Post by fly1ngdutchm4n »

Here is my reveal Of this cold war Russian BMP 2d kit.
It was not an easy task to get this old and very low detailed kit together, but the challenge was a lot of fun!
I loved every bit of it

My build thread is to be found here: http://www.intscalemodeller.com/viewtop ... 133&t=2372

I took a lot of photo's but that is because I could not choose which one's to post...
Hope you folks don't mind...

This version Of this BMP 2d I made was with mine sweepers.
It served in : Shindand's motorized airborne regiment, Farah Provence, Afganistan 1987.

There are some detail photo's and some with and without background.
Sit back, take some :pop: and enjoy the ride guys :thumb1:

Well Frans, I've been sat in front of these photos for the last 20 minutes completely speechless. I think it's finally time I wrote some praise

INCREDIBLE

Watching you turn the Zvedza kit from an ugly pile of @$#* into a beauty was amazing and the groundwork on the diorama is something else

Good luck topping this build in the future, although I'm sure you will  :thumb2:

I agree, I too have jaw ache now; :o not to mention my dusty tongue that I've had to pick up off the floor and I have painful eye balls from popping them back in! :eeek:

Seriously, though, that is an amazing piece of work. I've always believed that the realism lies in the details, all those little things that you see every day that don't enter the thought process when making a diorama; the dustbin, Pepsi cans, weeds, dust and dirt blown up against the barriers, graffiti and aged looking tarmac with worn white lines for just a few examples. Truly an amazing piece of work. :thumb1:

WW2 GB? That's a great idea! Don't think we've done one of those yet! Lol!

Honestly mate, cracking result there, really excellent. The attention to detail alone on the base is something else, and the whole vehicle and figures interact with the base really naturally.

HollywoodModelling wrote:I'm speechles... I thought I had seen it all but I have to admit this might be the best model I have seen so far... the level of detail (pepsi cans etc.) is astounishing... If I could only reach a level of 1% of that I'd be pleased! You've so got it down!
Thank you very much, realy nice of you to say my friend!

1%.... hmm... :scratch:: I started with 1%!
Just keep building and (most important) have FUN building, and you will get more than 1%! :th:
I have to learn it too, making mistakes (still do, but i'm not telling you guys :nena: ) but you will learn from it eventually.
dare to try stuff out, and don't be afraid to ask fellow modellers for help :th: :th:

:cheers2:
