Our little Jack russel TERROR is sleeping now, so that give's me the time to post another update
I finished working on the PE parts!
A huge improvement at the oil canisters that are on the back fenders...

And here they are on the back fenders.

Front and back fenders are done now.
I will keep them off and paint these later, for that will make it a lot easier to apply the tracks.

The last thing that needed to be done was bending the tool clamps.
That was the most tricky part of this whole build!
I lost a small crucial part to the carpet monster, and because my puppy is not trained just yet to sniff out lost parts, I needed to scratch build that part. However, it all worked out just fine..

With that part been done, this means that I can say that all PE parts are done!
I temporary attached the towing cables and front and rear fenders with white tack to take some progress pictures.
Also I made a beginning at the tank tracks, one is finished and added.

The tank riders planed...

The figures are from minikit, but there faces are full of flash, so no go for me.
That is why I bought some Hornet and Wolf heads, to replace the ones from minikit.
There are 5 tank riders, im only going to use 3 of them.
The reason for this is that there will be more PE detailing to see, and with the mid section of the fenders off, there will not be enough room for 5 figures. And they would not sit on a hot exhaust! lol

Time to do some head hunting...

I drilled with a small drill a hole into the figure. By drilling the hole open with bigger drills, I made the hole big enough for fitting the neck. With a blade I made the hole eccentric.

The head itself I cut a bit shorter, and made it smaller at the bottom for an easy fit.

And here's the head on.
The big advantage of this way is that you can turn the head the way you like it.

The same thing I did with the rest of the tank riders..
This fella is singing a song along the way....

The guy next to him is not like his singing...

The guy in the back is minding his own business, knowing he's going to see a lot of Germans real soon..

All figures together...

Now.... I'm NOT planning a dio this time.... so sorry...
Instead, i'm putting this tank on a wooden base.
This is what I have in mind..

A simple piece of wood, a name plate, 2 ammo pieces (flying Dustbins) and a replica of a 79th armoured division patch.

I think this would be cool looking too...
Not sure if I should put some road cover on this base though...

And that rounds up this update!
Next time I will finish the tank tracks, and will begin priming the Churchill and figures.
Hope to see you then!
