Before I can give u a definite yes. Let me go over the rules, we are trying to stick to the subject/model in hand. And even tho they were built on the same chassis. They were called something else for a reason. But, i dont want anyone to feel left out. So let me talk to the other Mods and see what we feel is consistent with the SIG. I will get back to you on that.

Hey Luis,
I'm fine with opening it up, it adds variety to the subject in my opinion, but it isn't my GB. So you should make that call. :th: :th:

sounds like fun, I wouldn't mind joining with a Panzer II variant ;)

like a marder 111M or Gapard

would that be ok ?

As long as it is a Panzer II variant then it's ok with me. :thumb2: but I think you mean Gaperd? Aka cheetah, i think that particular howitzer is based more on the Leopard I than the Panzer II. I might be wrong. But if its a PANZER II variant then its welcome on the SIG.

I´m sorry but the Marder III M and the Gepard are both based on the Panzer 38(t) chassis.

Image

So with an open SIG i don´t have to buy a particular kit as i already have Bronco´s Marder II D (which is based on the Panzer II D) in my stash.

Image

Hmmm this gonna be lovely, its a nice opportunity to finally build this kit, its been waiting in my stash too long.

Guys!!!!! Apologies but after talking to the boss. It seems like we are stretching the rules a bit too much! He is right, this is a PANZER II BUILD, not a "this has got a headlight from a panzer II build."

I hope you understand guys but i think he is right. So I'm sorry for jumping ahead with the decision but i should've waited to hear from the guys! I hope this doesnt upset anyone and i truly apologize to anyone who wanted to join with a different variant. Sorry guys. :(

Well to be honest, that is one of the reasons why i think sticking to the subject is a good idea because it is very affordable.

Your first 1/35? No way!! Glad you joined us Lee!!!

This should be a fun build.

Could we clarify the rules on what kits/Variants are eligible for this one.

Don't know about anyone else but I'm confused now lol. :ooops:

I'd totally do a gold one!! Would that count for the SIG? ... Does it have to be realistic or could we go all crazy creative with the colour scheme?

The red one was a StuG.
I think that the only restriction was that it has to be a PzII.

Ian... I love that one buddy. You always pick the coolest things to build.
You find a mundane topic and you just dress it up with a great kit idea or some clever scratching.
I'll be looking forward to your build buddy!!

I've got that 1/48 one half built from months ago - too many GB/SIGs in between, not that I'm complaining though, it's a nice little kit. I was going to complete it at the same time in this SIG. It would be good to see your take on it too.

Alright, i just ordered this kit on Amazon for a rather attractive price, these kits are hard to get these days! I´m glad i managed it anyway.
I don´t feel like building any Panzer II version you guys are making, just for more diversity so i got the Panzer II L from Tasca in 1:35 scale. Its one of my favourite tanks anyway and i know the kit is superb (made the other version of this kit several years ago). The kit is very similar to Tamiya, but the details are even better. A worthy kit for this SIG i think :)
