Great work! Loving the bronze tank, I have a couple of pots of gold paint that I'm not likely to use so I'm tempted to make something similar...

Kinetic 1/48 F-16 w/ melted canopy, Airfix 1/72 Lightning

Post by chief5437 »

Couple of builds I've done to keep me from throwing the B-2 out the window!

Kinetic 1/48 F-16. It's a Block 60, minus the shoulder fuel tanks. Theses are only used by the Saudis as far as I know, but I fancied an 'Aggressor' type scheme. Had some decals from the Aggressor squadron left over, so I slapped them on too.
As you can see, I had a few accidents with the canopy and a bottle of cement! I may get a vacform replacement some day.

Next up, Airfix's new tool lightning, great little kit, loved it. I'll be getting more of these, looking forward to the F.6 version as well.

Thanks for looking guys! Best get that sodding B-2 finished now! Lol

Revell 1/144 typhoon. Only £2 in the bargain bucket, so thought I'd give it a go. Had to scratch a tub and seat. And the windscreen so I could have the canopy open.

Sword 1/72 Lightning experiment part 1!

First time building a Sword kit, a few bits need sorting out, but this was just a dry run to see what they're like. The next one should turn out better, lol!

Sword 1/72 T. Mk 4 Lightning

Second go at swords two seat Lightnings. Don't think I'll be building any more sword kits. They're just too much work/hassle for 1/72. You do get some nice PE included, made by Eduard, that's probably the best thing in the kit.

I hope the quality improves over time, as they do some great subjects.
