Special Hobby SAAB AJ 37 Viggen

Post by JonMW »

Got this done the other day, it's Special Hobbies AJ 37 Viggen with a few aftermarket things added (almost everything available  ). Except for some modification needed to fit all the resin bits the build went together without too much problem, it's not a Tamiya kit so there is always a little bit of work needed but nothing too bad. Most of it was painted using Ultimate primer and MR Paints Swedish colors and some Mr Hobby for the metals and then weathered with a mix of Ultimate dark dirt and concrete.

I have to agree, though I'm on a mobile right now so I'll have to make sure I get a good look on a big screen when I get home!

Wow! :jd:

This aircraft; IRL or as a model, still takes my breath away...

Fantastic work, Jon!
Flawless build, paintjob and weathering :thumb2: :

Love the base too, reminds me of a photo in the Nordic Airpower Viggen book :pistols:

1. Get a cat.
2. Name it "Viggen"
3. Build a Viggen for Fighting Felines.

Absolutely stunning work Jon :jd:

I'm starting to think I might need a Viggen in the stash to keep the Draken company... :shifty:
