) Great surface detail, the wash made the panel lines and rivets pop out. Overall a fairly trouble free build, fit of parts was generally good, some fitted like a glove, a few needed some work or persuasion. I will be adding more of these Hobby Boss 262 kits to the stash as its one of my favourite aircraft. The decals were terrible in this kit a lot of them just disintegrated when trying to remove them from the backing paper luckily i had two sets of them so managed to get by
: Painted in Mr Hobby Aqueous RLM colours, using raised plasticard splinter camo "masks" i was happy with the result.
: Weathered (lightly) with Ultimate Dark Dirt and concrete washes and an oil wash on the landing gear.
: Built totally out the box, the only added extra was the easy line antenna wires
The removable gun bay panel looks a bit odd when shut (one of those parts that didn't quite fit properly) , but i plan to display this with it open anyway and possibly the canopy too
