So, sat looking at the Panzer this morning and noticed I hadn't done anything with the exhaust! I've never had to rust anything before so this is my first time at rusting, be gentle....
I tried to use a couple of colours to give the rust some tonal difference, then hairspray over the top...
It doesn't look too bad, but there's definitely not enough dark rust or variation (lesson learned for next time)...
A very thin coat of grey...
Then went to work with a reasonably stiff brush very lightly. I out a very thin coat of grey on so, not much effort was needed....
As you can see, none of the tonal variance has come through at all, which is a little disappointing. But I'm now going to purchase a rust set from somewhere for the next one

I'm hoping that the Ultimate rust wash will make a difference as well as I'll also be mixing that with the dark dirt to get a little darker rust effect.
Then I did the tool handles - Nothing special...
Then added some smoke on the rear vents, some small rust/dirt spots here and there around the body and a few other odds and sods done. Now ready for gloss coat and decals
Got to say I'm really enjoying this, you armour guys have a new convert
