Jon's Captured Hasegawa Ju87B-2 Stuka

Post by JonMW »

This aircraft was first used by Germany, then bought by Italy and finally after the Italian pilot had to make an emergency landing in North Africa after running out of fuel it was captured by the Brits. I tried to upgrade the cockpit with one from Aires, but the fit was so bad I ended up just cutting some of the detail off the floor and sides and gluing those to the kit parts. The decals are a mix of Airfix for the stencils, Xtradecal for the british markings and Rop o.s. for the Italian ones. Everything was painted in MR Paints RLM02, 04, 65, 70 and 71, cleared with Aqua gloss and weathered using UMD Dark dirt, everything was then cleared using MR Paints Super clear matt. And some chipping was applied using Humbrol 11 on a sponge and finally some light earth pigments.
