, I am going to be doing rail kits soon (see the list below). Unfortunately, I bought the Hasegawa kit. I can already see the difference in detail and quality just comparing the wheels of the Hasegawa Leopold to those of the Rail Transporter for the Karl-Gerat, the Br52, and Br86; all from Hobby Boss. Well, I'll just ignore the quality issue and if I can justify building the Hobby Boss kit at a later date, I'll do it. I'll practice my air brushing on the Hasegawa.
Can you post where you are buying scale chain? Railroads use a lot of that stuff.
Personally, I'd like to find some wagon kits that can be used as tenders or ammo transports for the railguns. I know there are some Russian rail car kits which have AA guns or something else on a flat deck; begging to be kitbashed. Another option might be 1/76 scale kits used for OO gauge model railroading.
