OOB 1/48 F-105G

Post by Robert »

Hi guys here is my next project....

Image

I have been postponing this one for a awhile, because the kit has raise panel lines, and I suck at scribing....
But I decided I had to do it and a couple of hours later I got this...

Image

here are the tools I used

Image

Image

Image

Image

I modified My Tamiya scriber, so it coud get to the tighter areas....

Image

I also modified my Trumpeter rivet maker, in order to allow me to see where the wheel actually is and to make it follow the template easier

Image

Image

cockpit is done

Image

Image

it goes together VERY quickly and without almost no filler

Image

this thing is HUGE!!!

Image

Image

Time for some primer

Image

still have some boo boos to take care, but VERY happy withe the scribing in general

hope you liked it, CYA!!!!

Great work Robert on this model.
And don't worry, your scribing and rivetting went great.

Hi fellow modelers!

First of all I would like to apologize for taking this long for me to update this build.

And second I would like to say thanks for the comments that you left here.

It has been a VERY long time but I finally manage to do some work, and here it goes....

sorry forgot to take pics of the plane preshaded....

bottom part, painted and post shade, it's was very dirty for my taste, so I fixed later....

and the 2 greens, and some decals....

got some silvering and some "frost" on some decals, but I'll fix it later....

More to come soon, Cheers!

Looks awesome dude! Nice work on the scribing. I now have the Trumpeter scriber and so think I might return to my old Revell 1/48 JU87B and finish re-scribing that.

Cracking work on the paint as well!

Thanks guys!!!

Ok, it's all decaled, wash on and off.

The lowest point on this kit, IMHO, are the air intakes so I decided to scratch build some intake covers.

And now some pics, enjoy.....

That re-scribing must have taken some grit and determination, and it looks really good under-paint too.

Nice job, dude. :thumb2:
