Hovering in the Woods - Tomcat's 1/72 Airfix Harrier GR1

Post by Tomcat64 »

Here's how my Airfix 1/72 Harrier GR1 finished up with the addition of a little wool roving teased out and white glued in place.

This was a really straightforward build and a nice little kit from Airfix - the build thread is here if you want to see how this came together.

Onto the reveal

Thanks as always to everyone that followed along with the build and offered advice and encouragement :cheers2:

Cracking finish mate. Really like the base and the jet blast effect :th: :th: :th:
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

Great idea! That jet wash effect works really well and it even hides the stand a bit too!

Thanks guys :cheers2:

The jet-wash/dust cloud looks a lot softer in reality; it looks like the studio light I use has picked out the individual strands a little harshly so I might try again with natural light if I can find a way.

A bit envious of the patience you must've had to make that dio, I'd be too scared to put a peach of a build like that into one.
