Thanks mate, it's moved on somewhat since my last post. The radio, power supply and attachments are all complete about to start the painting and weathering. My camera isn't working as I dropped :eeek: the phone waiting for replacement, up dates to follow.

Ok at last an up date since dropping my phone.

Main headlight

Engine bay bulkhead main power cable detail.

The radio and loudspeaker are now done as is the cabling, just one left which is the main power to the radio transformer from the engine.

Rear shield detailing.
Image
Everything is just dry fitted or balanced ready for painting the fighting area, the engine bulkhead carrying the main power cable isn't fitted. As isn't the gun sight, deflection pointer and the shell casings, they will once the lockers are painted.

Painting should start by the weekend   :th:

Thanks mate it has took a lot longer than I anticipated most of that is down to my skill level. I am getting all be it slowly the hang of this PE :th: I do like the detail in things which I've added to as the build has gone on.

Thanks mate I just hope I can get it finished in the remaining time :eeek: as I said I've got into more detail as my skill has improved. This has caused delay waiting for tools or material. I'm still hopeful I'll get it done on time if I don't never mind I'll enter the next one.

Cheers guys, it's moved on since then but I'm having issues with Photobucket and Flicker :wall: :wall: I've started the detail painting of the fighting platform.

I'm up against it and may not get it finished by the deadline but, it doesn't really matter, it's my first entry and my first competition since being at school!!!! I'm having a great time learning loads, my next will be better planned, on wards and upwards :th: :th:

Many thanks guys.

Unfortunately time has beaten me on this one and I'm nowhere near finished :( a range of things has taken it's toll, mostly my never ending mistakes, lack of skill, family, work etc etc. Biggest problem I've had over last few days is fighting with H&S Evolution 0.2 trying to stop the paint drying on the tip while painting the cammo ,I went freehand to save time masking  I tried everything if I thinned the paint it would splatter on the surface cut the air pressure it wouldn't drive the paint, too far away it wouldn't give me nice fine smooth lines :wtf: All that said I've learned so much I'll post some pictures tomorrow if I can get flicker to behave and I 'll keep posting (if that's ok) until I'm finished.

This is as far as I've got. The gun platform has got it's first level weathering plan now is to glue the side armour and start outside and detail weathering.

This is all free hand.

Almost fully assembled now, with all the external work remaining
