Yeah. 3 Revell syringes for €7. Or 100 syringes from a veterinary shop for the same price... :wtf:

I got the Hero Hobby Kits Schwimmwagen last month. I didn't do much comparison with Tamiya, but I was just wondering if you came across the Hero Hobby version in your shopping? It's pretty new, only from last year.

Not via post, but rather while on vacation in Vancouver. Spotted these in a toy shop on Granville Island and the price (and exchange rate) was right! Should be fun change of pace and maybe some PE-like practice before some up coming builds:

It was a great trip. Weather wasn't bad, just a bit cooler than we are used to; only a little rain when we walked back to the hotel after the Kings/Canucks game (main reason for trip). Also visited the aquarium which is small but really nice. And stumbled on to a great little place for tapas, wine and beer. Looking forward to going back sometime.

Ok for buying in Australia and if you buy oversea's the best your going to do is $3 per paint including freight. Will take 2 months to get here though. It is a long wait.

Zvezda just upped their game again, this is a very fine kit!!
Looking at the sprues its clear more Ausf. are coming! :th:
Definitely the new Pz IV go-to kit on the market for all who doesn't have the stamina for a 1500 part Dragon kit.
Image

Finally! For me who is Swedish and just love this our own really good WWII fighter, this is a great kit. Even if it is resin...
Ok still hoping for a plastic kit but...just happy there is A kit.
Excellent detail!! Just found one fault, and there are unfortunately a defect on the underside of the wings. Its a "sink mark" quite big.
Oh well, its fixable and the rest is very nice so I'm :th: happy!

If Your not very very interested in this aircraft (like me) I don't really know if I would recommend it really.
Its resin, at least mine has a quite big fault in the casting, and...its expensive like he...
Just checked and 52£ at Hannants, I paid 599 Swedish crowns about 58€.
That is quite a price for a 1/48 WWII fighter kit.

Really strange though that no manufacturer has ever picked it up as a proper styrene kit???
It has a very interesting history and it was a very good and competitive aircraft.
And there are lots and lots of other kits of less significant or strange subjects been made over the years.
Oh well...one day!

That's a shame. I mean, nothing against Spits and 'Schmitts, but it's nice to see other subjects get their day in the sun.

We have the yearly IPMS show here in Stockholm this weekend, and of course you have to have a look in the traders hall. Just did a quick run though today as I had judging duties but managed to pick up some stuff.

Image
A couple of bottles of GX100 and the latest Nordic Airpower book about the J29 Tunnan. If you want reference pictures of Swedish made planes these books are really nice.

Image
Also managed to find a couple of Hasegawa J35D Drakens. These seem to be out of stock in a lot of places and it's the only version of the Draken that has the correct nose and canopy if you want to build the J35A and the J35B. So now I only have six Draken in the stash.

Image
And finally a nice Tamiya Toyota, some diorama things and decals.

That's all for today, need to have a better look tomorrow, specially at the Special Hobby booth/room as they have a lot of stuff with them.

Trip to Ikea with the family yesterday, via Hobby Craft.

Added some more paints to the arsenal a long with some oils for weathering.
Then shelves and a neat little light from IKEA...grabbed a milk frother for £1...pulled the spring off the bottom to use as a paint mixer. :)
