Jagdtiger 1/35

Post by Navcom »

As the build challenge says, I love Tamiya...and this kit was another one of their great ones. Went together super well with no complaints...well...except for my own stupidity of putting on the fenders before the indie tracks. No problem! The vinyl ones actually turned out real well! This is mostly credited to Tamiya's highly detailed offering...one of the most detailed sets of vinyl I've seen.

I tried several personally new techniques on this kit in order to make it a learning experience as well. Have to say I'm very happy with the final results...not perfect, but satisfied all the same. Hope you enjoy the reveal!

Original build thread is here: http://www.intscalemodeller.com/viewtop ... 31&t=19606

First off, a quick walk down memory lane...I remember when it was just an itty bitty baby... ...

...and now it's all grown up...

And just a little comparison of size; the Jadgtiger next to Tamiya's Panzer II of the same scale. Only 5 years separate these original AFV designs! The Jagdtigers gun is as long as the entire Panzer II...

Well, that's it for my entry in the GB. It's been a blast and I've enjoyed the build as well as the other builds in the GB as well. Nice job everyone! Looking forward to seeing all the other ones completed as well.
