1:35 HobbyBoss GMC with 40mm Bofors gun Reveal

Post by fly1ngdutchm4n »

Here's my reveal of this great build.
My inspiration came from a original photo I found on the internet.
I did not build the entire football stadium like in the original pic for obvious reasons, so I thought It would be nice to make a park scene instead.

Please enjoy these photo's like I did building this diorama :thumb2:

Magnificent! How many hours did you put into that masterpiece? I wish I had the skills for dioramas, but if I did, I have no room for them and would have to give them away.

Wonderful execution of masterful talent and artistry :) :thumb1: :thumb1:   :

What an awesome diorama
Love the scene, puppy dog and small details like the poster and the newspaper
I had to look the gun up, used by both axis and allies

What is the nationality of the soldiers and on the vehicles flag????

I will be repeating myself along with the others - this is awesome!

The B&W photos looks great. I think it will look even better if you take it outside with day sky as background :)

I wanted to make a really nice and interesting dio, for this is going with me to the scale contest SMC next year.
Most entry's I do in GB's and SIG's are for that contest.
However. .... next year on the ISM calendar, there isn't much I want to enter.
It's modern armour or floaty things and that just not it for me.
I think the only GB I will enter is the hunter GB.
So I have to come up with some models myself.:

And I'm feeling a lot better, just coughing my lungs out annd having bad headaches, that's all...

Lungs? Who needs them anyway? Lol!

What about recce armour for the eye spy sig?

Or one of these for the homeland GB? I think the M.39 version was made by DAF.

Saying that, at least it'll stop you winning all the prizes, lol!

I'll see where it takes me next year...
got to honour coen too this January
Something about a Canadian moose in a Tiger or something like that

eye spy? Option!
Homeland? Option 2. Although Holland was captured in 5 days and had only one tank that got stuck in the mud when driving to the border. ....
Have to check that pic out for I think it's a Landsverk M.36 not a M.39.
Maybe there's a kit for it somewhere...
Thanks for that :thumb2:

Yeah, that's the m.36, didn't have a pic of the m.39 at the time. Although it's very similar, I think!

Afaik, it's the m.39 version that DAF built?

Can we go that far back in time
If not a YPR is an option , also a DAF vehicle (AFV Club) or a Leopard 1 or 2 as we had both

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I think the homeland is currently dated back to 1950?

You'll deffo be able to find something for the eye spy sig, haven't seen any date restrictions on that yet.

You are correct!
"Homeland GB - Something from your own country - Will stipulate a time period if this gets chosen ie 1950 -1975 etc."

So no homeland for me. :thumb1: :thumb1:

Yes, modern armour is from '75, but I think I saw a tentative date of '50 for the eye spy.
