FT-17 1/16 Takom

Post by EagleDriver »

Hey guys! My biggest tank of the year /or maybe ever so far/ is what I am sharing here.
I finished it during August, it got me best in class and gold medal in Athens IPMS, and two silver medal on other shows.
After that I spent week more adding weathering, inspired by Rinaldi's wonderful books and the silver medal which were well deserved due to my negligence. I missed the fact that the tank is twice as big as our regular builds so it need twice, or even more weathering and attention.
The streaks are actually more obvious in person, but I am lousy photographer with lousy camera, and very very lousy weather last week.

Engine is the part that I am particularly proud of, however no pictures of it /my wife deleted them by mistake/
Other than that - I did the suspension springs, now they work for real, all engine bay doors are workable and removable. Features full interior with engine, gearbox and tank. Ammo cartriges and crankshaft.
Aftermarket metal chains from my company and wooden deck is scratch from real wood varnished and then weathered like the real think goes.
So, enjoy it:
