Tamiya M1A2 Abrams TUSK I

Post by Gav0909 »

Here it is, the first model I have finished this year, and the first one finished since October last year for me!

Really quite happy with the final result of this kit. As usual there are one or two small things I might have done different. But generally speaking I am pleased. I am more pleased that that's still the feeling I have considering its the first finished model for me in a long time.

So enough waffle, enjoy the pics. We have some rare sunshine here today so took the pics outside to get some natural light which hopefully will show the weathering nicely.

That's smokin awesome Gav!
I love that dirt work along the skirts. That's well done. The optics and those figure s are really cool too.
A great build bud.

If not for the table I could have sworn I was looking at a real Abrams. You really did a fine job.

Thanks Alex. Yeah true, but I would rather a bit more quantity to go with the quality haha.

Thanks Chief. I am pleased with how they turned out as well. I did this on my Paladin as I think the small splashes of colour from the camo bergens and the cool box really add to the model.

I have another M1A2 in the stash, the OIF one, but I think I may paint that in NATO tri-tone rather than desert, just for something different.
