Regdab Needle Juice getting sticky in the airbrush.

Post by countzero99uk »

Hi there, Ive had my first airbrush for a couple of months now but not used it for about a month before I stopped using it I had just received some Regdab through and put it on the needle and trigger mechanism.

I was planning on undercoating my tank this weekend so just wanted to make sure all was ok with it and the trigger felt a little stiff so ive disassembled it and found that the lubricant had gone into some kind of sticky mess. Ive cleaned it out now (I think) but am a little concered if I did something wrong with it.

Also ive cleaned it off my needle too, which resulted in my jabbing the palm of my hand slightly with it, be careful people with these things.

So have I done something wrong?

I cleaned the paint out of the brush, disassembled it cleaned everything else with airbrush cleaner then applied regdab to the trigger and lever in the spring thing and a slight amount on the needle itself, I then have just left it in its stand for just less than a month I think. Ive a H&S brush.

Thanks.

Your best to use no lube at all then and just keep it clean?

(must not make inappropriate comment.......)

I've only ever had to lube the air valve plunger on both of my H&S Infinities as the triggers felt stiff when I first got them. Never had a problem after doing so and they both work super smooth now. Where exactly (for the trigger) did you apply the lube?
