KV-2 in Berlin Dio

Post by SeanT28 »

My latest project and first attempt at a ruined street Diorama. This is Zvezdas 1/35 KV-2 and for its price of £20 it a bargain, sure it doesnt have as much detail as the Tamiya kit but i think you can still get a good result from it. I did however add some additional armour that I seen of some reference pics out of wire and some left over "Mosquito netting". The base of the Dio consists of a square of polystyrene for the base and I used wall filler, wooden sticks and little poly styrene blocks to create piles of rubble. overall I enjoyed this build and I hope you enjoy too.

Good gravy Sean!
This is wonderful work bud, so much detail crammed into such a small space. Where did you get the PE set for the IS-2?

No PE, just out of the box, apart from the scratch built armour and additional shells I had lying around

Absolutely stunning, love the slightly grim dark atmosphere you've created with the base and washes.

Wonderful piece/ vignette
