Brewster Buffalo

Post by Twokidsnosleep »

Well, been a moment since I built aircraft
This pudgy little fellow came from England via an auction
I watched one of the YouTube famous guys use it as a paint mule to test making models with oil paints…so that is my plan for the exterior camo. She looks better with wheels up so likely that too

Ya here it is, Plasmo
He goes to town oil detailing half the Buffalo fuselage

I did a bit of oil work on the second hull of a WNW plane, using an olive oil paint
I didn’t get around to finishing the second one off and used the acrylic paint on the other one

Looks like a little bruiser!

Keep this to yourself - one of the pictures you've posted is a P47 Thunderbolt, not a Buffallo

And I love that Plasmo guy, he's amazing.
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

Ya me too. need to get back to that WNW stuff

Yesterday I spent a few light headed moments, due to flu, messing with the Buffalo pilot
The styrene is extra hard and prone to chipping and his damn hands are both moulded up by his chin
So I cut off his arms and chopped up his belly so he can have normal pilot position.
This must be a very old Tamiya or a rebox of another kit
Then I got even more light headed and tired so slept for four hours in the middle of the day
Now the next day, at work and feeling really groovy :wtf:

Yes the old Hasegawa and Tamiya kits had jelly babies for pilots.
Sounds like your going to give him some character though.
I also feel for ya the flu season this year is a doozy, I've had the damn thing or variants of it 5 times now.....KINDA FED UP with it :)
