Hi guys. Built this up over christmas, took about 2 months.

The kit is very light on for detail so I got a lot of experience scratch building things. Overall a nicely finished car, and is currently on display in the window of the local hobby shop.

Wow ! and displayed in a shop on top of that. nicely done. I got a try a F1 one day but I really went away from cars for a really long time now.

What a difference with the extra detail you've added. You've totally transformed it cor :thumb1:

Thanks. I have a good relationship with the hobby shop guys. The get a good deal having models on display and I get a kick out having them in a high profile location.

Thanks man. they are challenging but look good when done.

Thanks John. The kit is too light on for detail to build it out of box. I found it a challenge and upskilled myself in the process.

I built this too and thought the same thing regarding the details. Definitely not a Tamiya or even a Protar. Like your extra detailing. It's also nice to see you take the extra effort in painting like the heat treatment on the exhaust, washes, clamps, etc. GOOD JOB!

Thanks, I did put in some effort scratching the detail, especially the rear suspension, everything on top of the gearbox. Its a good looking model, but a bit like polishing a turd unfortunately, especially as it was a pricey kit.

I purchased mine when they first came out and it was far less than half of what they go for now. I agree that Revell / Monogram could've done so much more with a 1/12 kit. It almost appeared like the used the same mold criteria / detail of a 1/24 kit and just enlarged it. Regardless, your "turd" does come off being a little more upscale, and I like it (the model). Keep up the good work....
