Actually, this tank was already decommissioned by the Bundeswehr in 2010, but the delivery to the Ukraine - and its successful use there - suddenly brought it back into the public eye.
The anti-aircraft tank Gepard (FlakPz Gepard) is an autonomous, all-weather combat-capable anti-aircraft tank made in Germany. Developed and produced as early as the 1970s, it formed a cornerstone of the anti-aircraft defense of the Bundeswehr, the Dutch and the Belgian army for a long time (Wiki).
