I know this is a bit of a late start. Last week began work on the Hobbyboss 1/72 Mi2 Hoplite. I will be building and painting it in the Checz Air Force markings as per the adjacent photos rather that the kist Polish gunship markings and config.

Interesting subject...the front looks very familiar...almost Jet Ranger!

Good luck with the build...will be interesting to see this one.. :th:

Nice entry, Chancer :)

These birds are still flying from time to time here ( though not so often as Mi-8 that I see almost every day :) ).

Good luck with the build. I hope I will start mine ( URP variant ) soon.

Cheers,
Radek

Cool choice.
I never realized there were so many interesting choppers out there and kits available, I supposed tucked away down under you don't see or hear about all of them.

Will have to use good ol Google more often

Update pic of my progress on my Checz Airforce Mi2.
Painting went quite well this evening. Needs some tidying up and detail work like the exhausts.

Ah it looks very nice, Chancer :)

Especially with this yellow nose :)

Did you make masks for clear parts by yoursef or you used some aftermarket parts ?

Interesting piece of machinery. Please post some informational history, as I know very little about it.

I did the masking my self with Tamiya tape for the clear parts an blue tack for the main scheme.
you can see how it worked out in the sequence of pics below. I painted the nose in the interior colour before I painted on the external base coat.

Oh, thanks Chancer.
I will definitely have to use it on my Hoplite, because I really chose some crazy pattern...
I just need to find enough of bluetack... :)

Good idea using blue task for the masking, I'm interested to see how it turns out
