Howdy From Texas

Post by ptatner64 »

Hi, I've been on the Facebook page for awhile. I am currently participating in the Large Scale Group Build. I have always loved building model cars. Recently I have become disabled and was looking for something to occupy my time other than watching TV. Then I remembered I used to love this. So I bought a kit, boy have they increased in price! Now I have a stash and swear I won't buy another until I finish them all, not happening. I'm trying to branch out so I got a DaVinci kit, a sailboat, a motorbike and a plane. I'm NEVER doing a sailboat again. I'm too shaky for the rigging. I really enjoy looking at everyone's builds. Gives me inspiration. So, um, that's all.

Hello Paul and :welcome: to the ISM forum.

When you get a moment please check out the forum guidelines which can be found ---> here

We'd love to see your work & progress but in order to post photos you will need to host them on an external site such as Flickr and then link to them from the forum. Unfortunately the forum currently doesn't have sufficient capacity or bandwidth to host directly uploaded photos.

There is a quick guide on how to use the Flickr integration on the forum ---> here

As well as the forum boards there is a really useful Modeller Toolkit available which can help with paint matching, paint thinning, glue types & a scale calculator that can be found ---> here

We'll also be running a number of group builds & special interest groups through the year so feel free to enter any of those that you like the look of.

Otherwise take a look around and join in, and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Have fun!
Cheers, Neil

Hello and welcome :cheers2:
If you get set up with Flickr, it makes posting pictures super easy. There is a ton of info on here.
What is your disability if you don’t mind my asking
