Slowly making the time

Post by Rugash »

Hi All,

I'm Matt from the Central Coast NSW, slowly finding the time to get some modeling done. As usual though work gets in the way of everything.

I have always enjoyed building model kits, but have a little more patience now I am older....besides it's too hard to find all the pieces when the kit disintegrates on the opposite wall of the room! :jd:

Hopefully have a few posts soon, quite a few in progress (as we all seem to have) and will start to post a few at the weekend after work...

Cheers Matt

:welcome: Matt, hope you enjoy interacting on the forum.

Love the disintegrating model comment. Boy does that remind me of my youth  . The modern kits are mostly so good now, I’ve had to accept its more me than the kit, although I’ve been gluing a few older kits together of late and they’ve been grinding gears a bit.

Good luck :thumb1:

Hello and Welcome

Yep you and me both mate
Hard to find time to model and especially in the summer
What is worse is when you are off and have time, but no desire to model

Welcome to the forum Sir. We all have our wall smashing moments! I don’t throw things, I just turn the air blue with phrases like ‘FFS, get in there you b*****d!’

Looking forward to seeing your work and some more comments from down under!
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

Hello Matt, each of us has had, has and will have such moments 😊. Buy a model of a good company (Tamyia for example) and enjoy gluing 😉
Cheers

Thanks everyone for the welcome!

I have quite a large stash as it is so I am trying to work through that first..... not working very well, I don't make it past the specials rack at the local hobby shop, even when I am only buying paint.

I have bought a few newer kits and do notice the difference in quality and ease of assembly, but have had to buy a few that I built when I was a kid just so I can do a better job this time.
