First off... Doh!
I thought I had it well in the holder, I did not. And of course the crown wasn't on. I bent the needle past repair, even the nozzle is damaged. I have a Paasche Talon (TG) the #2 needle kit was installed when I dropped it (.38 mm).
I switched out the nozzle assembly for the #1 size (.25) and cleaned everything since it was apart anyway. When I put it back together I am seeing backflow (bubbles) without pinching the nozzle. Is this normal with a smaller needle? Flow seemed ok; I was just testing with IPA and then with water. I never saw this with the bigger needle, however, this was the first time I tried the smallest needle so I have no comparison.
Thanks!

Re: Dropped my airbrush
Try tightening the cap as much as you can. I had this issue and it was because the nozzle wasn't making a 100% seal with the rest of the assembly.

I thought that might be it, and did tighten it as much as I dared. I wonder if the seal got damaged when it fell?

Re: Dropped my airbrush
I don't have bee's wax or lip balm, but I do have teflon tape. I will give that a try. I put the #1 needle assembly back in and sprayed some black primer on a spare part and it worked well. I tried to cover that with a Model Air Aluminum (after a clean); and that wouldn't spray at all. Just bubbled up and spit. Tried thinning and adjusting the air pressure to no avail. I think the key lesson here is, don't drop your airbrush.
Re: Dropped my airbrush
Replaced the #2 needle and nozzle, everything is just fine. I think I need to investigate the pressure when using the smaller needles. Or get a better airbrush for more detailed work.
Thanks for the help.
