The booth it's self works fine for me.

If I was in USA I would look at one of these and the filters are cheap with a proper explosion proof motor.

If I am using lacquer then I use a respirator if I am doing much painting. No light on mine but the plastic is translucent so I have a light shining through it and another at the front shining in.

I purchased some bulk roll air filter that I cut off a proper length, it came in the correct width, and place it in front of the provided filter, as a pre filter to reduce wear on the good filter

Also, I use windex and dish soap and wash out the good filters to use over and over.

You need two filters so you can swap out each long paint session, they fill up fast.
