Better late than never they always say
Tamiya 1/72 rebox of an Italeri F4-S Navy Phantom
Kit is fair, lots of putty for seams, decals thick and yet fold over like a cheap tent, not sure of Tamiya's paint call outs either as mine looks so much darker than others :
Sure love the look of this plane...double ugly??? No way

Once again I really admire your commitment to little details. The fact that I can see all the hard work in the cockpit despite its size tells me all I need to know...it's a great finish!

Thanks bud
Actually reasonably happy with this and I didn't get too crazy near the end with the "just get it done" feeling.
Only a bit crazy

Where do you get your bases from Scott?
Or are you making them from scratch?

I make them myself
That one is from Home Depot...it is a grey floor tile sample with yellow painted masking tape stripes and rub on numbering decals. Then just edged with chrome felt pen
Simple and easy, but don't tell everyone :shhh: oh shoot I just did

She came our a bit darker than others I have seen even though I used the Tamiya paint codes asked for in instructions :
