robs trumpeter Soviet aerosan

Post by batcode »

Hi all this will be my first official GB entry, i do plan on doing a build for the mech sig as well, and hopefully will try do a stuka entry also lol.

but had this kit sat on a shelf for sometime now and saw this Gb and though would be the perfect time to get on and build it. its not a big or hoping complicated build but want tyy do some weathering on it and a small dio base, but saying that this will be the first time done a build in all white and weathered it... the other annoying this is dont get the figure poses as on the box, only get 2 figures that are sat in the vehicle, and searched for some other figures but not much luck

I've always wanted to build one of those. An excellent kit for this GB, too. :pop:

not much done on this one as spent best part of yesterday on my gundam build and didnt reilise how long would take lol....

but managed to get some white down on all the main bits.

plan hopefully today to get a coat of klear on it all then paint any small bits ie springs etc decals, then start on weathering!!!! not my strong point....
may try to bit on the figures and this is my biggest weak point as useless at figures never have idea of what colors to use and weather with and not done any winter troops so should be fun lol. have an idea for the base just got try see if can out a circular base ....(well something that looks sort of circular lol)

I thought I was the only one with gluey fingers
Looking good, interesting subject. Would be even cooler with a rocket, ya a rocket sled like this one
You have to watch the whole video for the gag. Terrible beer btw but funny commercials

Looking very good. I wouldn't mind having one of those when I'm out and about in the thick snow. :thumb2:

thanks for the great comments so far....

was unable to do an update yesterday due to pc issues so got a big one today...

first up made a start on the weathering using various ak/ammo washes and filters.

then yesterday and today got on with a base for it, as thought if its winter then might as well do some snow lol:

hoping tomporrow can do more on the snow as its just had the one layer at moment and needs some patches touched up once dry, finishing touches on the aerosan , and get the figures painted....

last couple of pics and update as hoping to call this one finished ..

once the snow on the base had dried the sledge was put in place then added snow onto it and weathered the windscreen a bit , and any touch ups were done...plan on putting the crew in shortly and put in completed section..

Great job on the snow scooter. I like the soft weathering. Very subtle and not too pronounced. The winter scape is unbeliavable. Looks frosted with real snow. Why not? We´ve hardly had a proper Winter so far. :th:
