Here is my attempt to imitate rust and flat tires on a abandoned soft skin vehicle.
Comments are welcome.

Wow, if that's a first attempt...
It looks very impressive.
Did it run out of petrol?!

Thank you guys for your kind words. The main idea was to try to make puncture on plastic wheels, damaged glass and to imitate rust - I tried fixing rust pigments with enamel thinner/varnish, then used maskol and Vallejo acrylics. After removing the maskol, I "reactivated" the pigments as if it was rusting under the paint. Have to improve this method.
And yes, the basic idea was that the car had been left behind /out of petrol/, mechanical failure and some Allied units tried shooting practice on it
Glad you like it...

I really like the peeled paint effect, and that's a novel way of producing it. I assumed you'd used the salt technique when I first saw the pics, but it's more effective I think. I feel some experiments coming on. Thanks! Great work all over.

I am happy to read that.
There is always time for new experiments. I decided to build this Fiat as well as an experiment. The method I used is quite easy to apply, only be very cautious when reactivating pigments, as acrylic colour does not like enamel thinners very much

It's quite funny, when I was a lad (about 50 years ago) people making model kits would make them all factory fresh, but these days people go to great lengths to make them look more realistic and weathered. In this case it is taken to the extreme and I really like it, well done.
