Help finding figures for my 10yo daughter

My daughter has been painting her My Little Ponies with fingernail polish lately. I really want to see how she would do with some real paint and a detailed figure. Can anyone suggest some kid-friendly figures? I know there's War Hammer but I don't think she would be interested in those (although I will show her some and see how she reacts).

Any help is appreciated!
