Bandai 1/144 HG Victory Gundam Diorama Final Reveal

Post by PrivateMansoor »

Hi all,

Here is my final reveal of the Gundam Diorama I have been working on.

A bit of back story first

The idea is to have the Gundam standing next to a Mig 29 as if it has landed on earth ready to have a look around. I built the Gundam more as if it was a Robot from outerspace not one from the actual animated series.
I coloured the kit in a more toned down version of the actual colours to give it a more tactical look.

My concept .. which I have come up with on my own... is

During the Dark Ages in England humans were abducted and taken by aliens. These aliens planned to use the humans as slaves. The aliens had advanced technology including Mechs... robots etc.

The humans reproduced much faster than the aliens .. cause the humans like to do that!
The aliens were overrun by the humans and eventually wiped out.
Now the humans possessed the alien technology and they ran everything.
They have now returned to their home world

This is a Mech conducting recon before the Alien (Human) invasion of earth.

The Mech seems to have landed on a Russian base and is scouting it out.

The Mechs identification details are as follows (This will help me with my marking guide)

- Its serial number is 1ATH - this will be represented on the torso - back and front
- from Section 5 - the number 5 on left the shoulder and both shoulders on the back
- 214 Platoon - The number 214 on both legs. This platoon has conquered two worlds - represented by 2 red circles on the right shoulder
- Hotel company - represented by the letter H also on the torso and the back torso
- The soldier piloting the Mech is a Seargent - represented by 3 stripes on top of both shoulders

Kit Details of the Gundam kit

Here are the kit details:

Kit Name: High Grade (HG) LM312V04 Victory Gundam
Scale: 1/144
Kit Number: 2219522
Kit History: It seems to be based on a very old kit from 1993, Bandai Kit number 0039047, but I could be wrong. This actual boxing was released in 2013

Nice Idea, Great backstory, and very well carried out. The final piece is brilliant. I get a good sense of scale now with these Gundam kits.
Top Notch. :cheers2:

Nicely excecuted, Jase is not wrong about the sense of scale given here.
Nice mix of genres within one project.

This is all great, the backstory, the dio, the "alien" Gundam. You really pulled it off from the posing to the colors, and they're all well done.

I feel like I know what happens next...

Yep its what I wanted to do, build the gundam with an airplane to give a sense of scale and also a nice story.
