Hi giys and girls
Here is the final reveal of my second entry in this sig
I have been building the Eduard Ultimate Sabre kit
Wich is a rebox of a Hasegawa F-86F
Not quite a new kit and i had my share of trouble throughout the build
But i managed to finish it and i am fairly happy with how it turned out

So here is my Sabre

But if you mean the blue and white then it is painted
Those decals didn't fit (too small) but the decals in general where extremely thin ,not very fragile so they didn't break but they curled up in to a ball
So i had some troublr getting the decals on it but in the end it worked out

That's epic looking - the blue and white are striking!

If it's painted then even better, superb job.

It had too
The kit offers 5 versions and i picked the only one with a grey interior
The rest has a standard black interior
Or i had to buy after market decals and hope that they would arrive in time
But it is not something i want to do everytime
I don't like masking and this took me the entire evening
Well the small strips of tape anyway
The big patches that are white where done reasonably fast

Lovely F-86 indeed, the extra work with painting all those stripes sure has paid dividends

Glad you like it
But i did learn the cheaper Eduard limited editions are a bigger challenge
When you look online you can really see 2 price classes
1 is around 40 euro's and the other is around 70 to 100 euro's
Those expensive kits are based on much better kits
The F-4 i did for the Vietnam build was one of those and that was much more pleasant to build
But the fact the MiG-21 was such a nice build doesn't help it either
I build both of them at the same time so you really noticr the quality difference and that does affect my opinion

In the end i am happy with it but the build wasn't quite as enjoyable as i would have liked at times
The Hasegawa base kit is a older kit with some issues
But it worked out in the end
