Trumpeter and Dragon Kits

Post by GazBags »

I've bought a Trumpeter 1/32 Ju87D and a Dragon 1/32 Bf109E-7 but PE seems a little thin on the ground for these, is it possible to use PE that is meant primarily for Hasegawa or Tamiya kits?

Might sound like a dumb question, but I'm new to PE, haven't made a model in some years and am just returning to it. Daughter bought me the BBMF box for my birthday and I've started collecting a few other kits so any help with PE would be greatly appreciated.

On the face of it you can, but what often happens either the kit is engineered slightly different or is not exactly to dimensions and the PE might not fit. Sometimes you can make it fit sometimes not. A modelers life is not all beer and skittles.... :cheers2:

Thanks for the help folks,

I'm learning it's not all fun, but not for the obvious reasons; I appear to be getting a little bit of stick in relation to what I plan to do with the models once they're made as we've recently downsized houses and there's not a lot of display room!

Henpecked as well - doh!

IT'S a common problem....offer to remove some knickknacks  or start going to the bar and chatting to some local girls....all of a sudden a stay at home hobby isn't that bad... has added benefit of keeping them a little unsure which isn't a bad thing.. :)
