So I'm building the venerable Revagram (Revel/Monogram) 1/48 B-17G and, as usual, have decided to bite off far more than I can chew.(I promise I'll get around to posting a build-log ) I'm looking to scratch build a bomb bay and was wondering if anyone has done this and/or has any ideas on where to get started.
Thanks!!!

I have done it. carefully cut the panels out and use them as a template to make new thinner bomb bay doors. (I normally use the aluminum from mixed nut cans. or you can order the photo etch set. there is a center walkway going fore to aft, I used plastistruct small I beam. the bomb racks are not vertical as a B-24 but in the shape of a V and there is only one rack(bombs on both sides. I added fishing line for wires and opened the door to the radio room. most of my work came from online photos. GL
