Corellian Engineering Corporation YT-2000 light freighter "Otana" in 1/220 scale..

So... Finally i finished my fully scratchbuilt 1/220 scale with engine lights Otana for Gav's Star Wars SiG to coincide with the release of Episode VII on the 18th December 2015.

Many viewers may not recall the Otana as she was a ship from the Lucas Arts (1999) Video game "X-Wing Alliance" and follows a storyline around the time of the Rebels leaving Hoth in episode V.
So a little unknown but still a classic for fans of both Star Wars and Old Skool gaming like myself. Another contender for this build that only just missed out on being built, but still might is the "Out Rider" from Shadows of the Empire, owned and piloted by Dash Randar.... but thats another story.. lol..

Thanks as always to each and every ISM member who took the time to view, like, comment and encourage the construction. Without your help and support this would still be at the drawings stage. :
A big shout out also to a handful of fellow modellers amongst the SiG who have excelled and pushed their build skills producing some top notch creations worthy of a prize and credited mentions... You know who you are fella's and i salute you all.. Bravo!..

So i best share the pictures...... Regular viewers know there are gonna be quite a few to look at..... Its sort of like my signature thing, searching for that One sweet picture that tells the story.. If you see it let me know... I'll just flood the thread and let you all choose your own favorite one.. lol... :D

All the best guys, thanks again.... Happy Modelling.
"May the Force Be with you Always!".... :D

We'll start with the Video game Intro Otana....

Thanks Gav, so grateful for the too kind comments mate.... I'm blown away by all the positive comments and Star Wars love on the forum.. Some excellent builds have taken place to honour such a fantastic, and for some, influential movie collection..
I was a small boy taken by my then 27 year old Dad to see the first... Later to be announced as actually the fourth in a series. My childhood changed that day, my Christmas and birthdays were consumed with everything Star Wars for years to come..
Jump forward nearly 40 years and here I am, scratch building Star Wars ships in ridiculously small scale.
I promised I was in the SiG from the first ever mention of an interest, I also promised I wouldn't let you down, hopefully I didn't.
Thanks for creating such an awesome group build.... It has brought many like minded Fans together and given hours of nostalgic enjoyment over the last 6 months. :thumb1:

Wow!... :jd:
After just watching the final reveal video and being congratulated by the In-Law KingDan, I'd just like to send a HUGE thank you for placing my build in the winning 3 over many, many fantastic entries... I am pleased as punch and eternally grateful for the prize vouchers I had totally forgotten about!!... Thanks to Lee and Paul and Ultimate, much appreciated guys...
So all that is left is to wish the guys on ISM a very Merry Christmas, prosperous New Year and..
" May the force be with us all!"...
Fingers crossed I get to see Episode VII on Boxing day!.... :thumb1:
:cheers2:
