NAMBiohazard, can I ask a favour please?

I was planning on making a model of my Jagdtiger 8,8 from World of Tanks and this kit is the one I have chosen. But before I lay out cash I want to be sure I can get an aftermarket 8,8 cm Pak 43 L/71 gun that will fit it. I have to get the kit mail order as no shops nearby stock it. Any chance you could measure the diameter of the barrel where it enters the gun mantlet so that I have a reference for finding a barrel that will fit? Cheers.

So here is your feedback Ganster and for those who are interested...

first the instructions for that area..
Image

and the dimensions of the parts..
Image

here is the 128mm barrel....
Image

and then the 88mm barrel....( this is the barrel of my King Tiger, same gun as used in the Jagdtiger)
Image

and then the two barrels side by side...
Image

I've also seen that the mantle on the Jagtiger 88 is square...

Hope this helps :thumb2:

Mate, thank you so much, that is above and beyond. I really appreciate it. :thumb2:

I'm going to have to give this some thought. Not sure I'm up to scratch building stuff yet.

Dear follow modelers

I regret to inform I will not be continuing with this build.
About a month ago, my 15 year old daughter has passed on and I have not found any motivation to continue building any models.

Thank you
