The Sherman was one of the first kits I did so recently the faults and mistakes I made had started to really stand out to me. Actually, there was something about the finished product I was never really pleased with. I think, however, that the addition of the base, groundwork and the figure have given it a new lease of life and so I'm pleased enough to want to share it here.

At the time, the kit was built, painted and weathered with a lot of techniques that were new to me. A lot of experimentation was accomplished on this model. Some techniques have gone on to be used again and others have been discarded. Once again, it's served as an invaluable testbed for firsts as today is the first time I've done mud and snow. It's also the first time I've painted a figure.
