ICM 1/35 Zil-131 Flat-bed Truck - Reveal

Post by alextheblue »

Having already apologised for being greedy and entering this SiG twice, here is my second foray into the world of ICM trucks. The first one was the Studebaker US6 and this was a great kit that I thoroughly enjoyed putting together. There were a couple of minor issues with the kit though, but I won't bore you with the details here, you can always check out my build thread. What I will say though is that this must be a later offering from ICM as most of the gripes from the Stude have been addressed with this kit. The smaller fragile bits were attached to the sprue slightly differently so that you didn't get the breakages that I experienced with my first kit. Plus everything just seemed to be of better quality, the plastic, the instructions, even the box it all came in. The decals however, were no better - although I did manage to rescue the one for the rear number plate, but this did break as well.

So, having subjected you to enough pain with my first entry, I will quit the waffle and get straight on with the pictures.

And that's it, no more I promise, I'll leave you in peace!

Thanks for taking a look! :th:
