Got some 4 mm foam centred plasticard last week from hobby craft, 3 a1 sheets for £8. An hours work and the spray booth is looking alot better. First pic is the before shot, 2nd is after building, the others are the after

lol... That spray booth is larger than some peoples modelling area. I imaging there might be a few frustrated chappies about after they've seen this...

Also, I love the volcano in the fish tank!!!

The volcano was my contribution to the tanks. It's a small place, but very model friendly.

Awesome space Greg! I am glad I am not the only one to cut off the top of kit boxes. They are always such beautiful paintings!

That's a pretty awesome spray bay there Paul! Have the same extractor you do but not nearly the same desk space to do something like that. Might try something similar one day.

I think we are all jealous of those great extractors/booths. They cost so much more when they have to cross any form of water

But the 1 thing I pickup from this thread is that no matter how big or small the space us modellers are experts in making the most of available space and jamming in as much stuff as possible into any space we have. Good work guys

Yup I used mdf to close up the shed and I hade some leftover pieces

(it's the 18mm kind)
MDF works pretty good, no splinters etc. Definitely post your result

Well decided since I was spending the money anyway I would use my overdraft and build my paint rack this weekend. Not that I have much paint to go on it but its all ready when I do. Still deciding if I will just have a tablet, a chrome-box or a full PC set up there.

This is my modelling work area. It is in the furnace room in our basement. I built the spray booth and paint shelves. Also shown in my current display case which is basically empty as I am just returning to the hobby.

My modelling space has shape shifted during this year. From a mess on the dining table:

I had to move into a new space:

The result of this move was this:

A great result in my opinion. Here is what it looks like now after some modification:

Built myself a tiny paint rack

Here is the ever growing stash

Heres the modest display shelf behind my space:

Its not big and its not luxurious but its cosy and most of all, its mine

Today was a good day....

Finally I finished my mancave!!! (For now)

Here are some pics:

Took a lot more work than I expected

but overall I'm pretty happy with the result. I made the paint rack and the table myself out of a MDF plate so that worked out ok. The isolation and electricity I've done myself. The only bad thing.... I don't have internet

the wifi doesn't reach that far.... Bummer!!! The next thing I'm planning on doing is building a paint booth since I'm getting my airbrush this sunday (I hope I'll receive my Ultimate product tomorrow

)

My area is a five foot table in my living room, in front of the wide screen where I watch (listen) to the ball games. It looks out from the 10th floor, over looking Manama Bahrain, not bad but will get more surface space upon my return to the states.
