Hi guys
Nothing new this time but i made a bunch of pictures of all my completed builds of 2016 and the couple of builds that i took to contests and that actually won something but those will be last in the list
With a total of 28 finished builds it was a extremely productive year
For me anyway as i normally average somewhere between 12 and 15 builds each year
So here is everything

My MiG-15 collection in 1/72
Made up with a eggplane and the 4 kits from Eduard's Royal class boxing

One of the Bis versions in North vietnamese colors

The UTI version flown by Yuri Gagarin
When the real one crashed near Moscow it where Gagarin and his co-pilot who died
Even though Gagarin wasn't allowed to fly any plane after he went in space and became a national hero

The other Bis version wich is again in North Vietnamese service

And finally the early version wich is in Romanian airforce colors

The egg plane

The Eduard limited edition 1/48 F-86F that i entered in the Shiny stuff sig

A Egg F-16 in Dutch airforce markings

Eduard's limited edition 1/48 La-5 fighter that i made for the Russian gb

My entry for the Fighting Falcon sig
It is the J-015 from the Dutch airforce wich is commonly known as the "solo display" but for most dutch modellers it is simply known as the "Orange lion" it is in 1/72

The Eduard limited edition 1/48 SDB-5 wich i entered in the PTO gb

The eduard 1/48 MiG-21 PMF in North Vietnamese colors
This was entered in the shiny stuff sig and was a profi pack boxing
I really liked this build ,even so much that i ordered a SMT version before this was even finished

The largest bird of my year
The Trumpeter 1/35 Hind with Eduard big ed set and Verlinden cockpit and cargo bay
It is painted in a Tigermeet scheme from the early 90's in Czech markings but was still lightly weathered to make it look used
So basicly a few months after the tigermeet

The Italeri 1/24 DAF 95
A bit of a trip down memory lane as this was the model that my father once made when i was a kid and this got me intrested in modelling

A kitbashed 1/35 Hybrid Tiger
The base is a Italeri hybrid tiger with Atak zimmerit and Dragon parts
This was a real hack and slash build as the Atak zimmerit was made for a Dragon kit so the parts didn't fit all that well

The Cyber hobby 1/35 Panzer III Ausf. G in DAK colors
I used a Panzerart sandbag armor set and Legend Panzer III stowage set to make it look a bit more intresting

The 1/35 Dragon Panther Ausf.F with the KWK42 L/100 gun
The kit was further detailed with a Aber basic pe set ,Griffon models Additional armor plating set ,recycled Friul tracks and night vision scope from Great Wall hobby

The 1/35 Meng model FT-17 with the base
This was build straight from the box allthough i did add some barbed wire and sand to the base

The Cyber hobby 1/35 STuG III Ausf.G with the Panzer III Ausf.M chassis
This chassis has the deep wading mufler
It is painted and marked in the colors of the 16th SS division other wise known as the RFSS division

The other entry i did for the PTO gb
I lost my mojo a bit on this do i didn't build a base for it
But it combines the Trumpeter LCM-3 and Dragon M4A2
I added a set of metal barrels for the LCM and a Verlinden upgrade set for the Sherman

My second entry for the Russian gb
The Trumpeter 1/16 T-34/85 model 1944 from factory 174
It has a full interior that can still be displayed as the upper hull and shell of the turret are fixed in place with magnets

The RP models Major "Blondie" Hassler in 75 mm

The Ares Dragonia Queen Cristal in 75mm

Again a Ares Dragonia figure in 75mm but this is Lyshria "shades of darkness"
Quite a complex figure to build and paint as it has quite some small and fragile parts

Nocturna's Luna's soldier figure in 70mm
This looks pretty straight forward but proved to be harder ro paint then i expected
It is the only figure to date that is painted twice

Luz Tokio by Nocturna
I entered this figure in the summer sci-fi sig
Like the Luna's soldier figure it is part of the Malefic time series of figures that are based on the story Malefic time made by Luis and Rumolo Royo

Half way through the year i started something new
Figure painting ,wich is something i wanted to do for a while but never started
This figure changed that as it was my first figure apart from the figures i painted for diorama's
It was a steep learning curve but it was a fun project
This figure still is my favorite and i even have 2 more in the stash for a different project

The last finished build of the year
It is Pagasso's Therathiel moon elf in 75mm
I made the base with a wooden stand and a large piece of savannah wood
It has a small water fall and various sorts of plants but i will post a thread for it later as i think some may find the techniques i used intresting

And finally my second entry for the summer sci-fi sig
This is Kabuki model's Star Vixen in 75mm
A bit of a twist on the Star Wars saga as this is a female storm trooper
It is placed on a small base with a bit of vegitation to get the idea she is in a forrest like on Endor
And that should have been all of them
But like i said at the start of this post i have some shots of my contest entries aswell
So here it goes

The Hind took a bronze medal at the 40 year anniversary contest from.TWENOT or the DAA (Dutch Armor Association)

The F-4B Phantom also won bronze

My D9R armored bulldozer won a bronze medal at the TWENOT meeting and bronze at the 2014 Scale Model Challenge or SMC

Amd finally my BMPT "Terminator" fire support vehicle
It won bronze at the 2015 SMC and silver at the TWENOT meeting in 2016
And that is all i have for now
I guess it is time to actually finish something now and get some new stuff here
But at the moment i have several builds in the painting stage so i should have some new finishes fairly soon .....hopefully
Thanks for stopping by and having a look
Take care and untill next time
Cheers
Mark
