Looking good, Guy!! I hate when a pieces falls into the plane I try and fetch it out. I just finagle with it till it comes out.

I've just scratch build it and partly covered up the holes now until the part is glued on and dried. Getting it out is no option as it must be stuck somewhere inside now

I'd comment on your build but I can't see any of the pictures. In my imagination it looks lovely, though.

I don't know yet. I'm not fond of over-weathered aircraft but then again the C's were well beaten up in Nam Scott.

Slowly getting to the final stages. Still lots to do. The resin seats and final touches. The gloss coat, decals, gloss coat, wash and that will be it.

Just a few updates done. Slowly getting there, but still lots to do.
Working on the resin seats now. Got them primed and ready to be painted with the hairy brush. (Still love the hairy stick to paint with for detail works)
The metal parts were painted with AK True metals and Mr Metals. The AK True Metal are nice shoe polish -like paints you can give a nice shine (though they're a bit messy) and the Mr Metals are buffable for a nice effect.
Just one issue though : The HUD PE part caused fitting issues with the front of the canopy. Have to make sure I pay attention when building the Rockin' Rhino in the future.

Allright... getting there.
Decals done
Resin seats only need some gloss coat and PE
Gloss coat before washing etc...
Adding weapons and weapon hard points
and done...
Really loved this Eduard/Academy build. imho my best build so far ever.
Used Walthers solvaset for fixing decals and it shows. Really good stuff.
Below some pictures...

I shouldn't have used that much of a wash to be honest, but I'm calling this done. More reveal pictures in the Final Reveals section.
What have I learned ?
- It was fun !
- Don't use too much wash
- X-22 50/50 thinned with MrHobby Leveling Thinner works a charm
- Don't rush on the PE and the resin. Lost some PE parts unfortunately
- Thinner paint layers so the black primer does its preshading stuff. It now was completely gone.
- Working against deadlines is stressy when nearing the deadline.
- Academy/Eduard F-4's are awesome kits if not the best imho.
- The Rockin' Rhino will be better using my experiences on this build
- I will buy this kit again later this year, and build it
- Walthers Solvaset is the best decal setting solution I've used so far
- Don't spill superglue on your fingers
- My next kit will not be a Phantom. Though I may change my mind
- I enjoyed watching the progress and final reveals on all Spooks in this forum thread and wanna thank everyone who joined me in this group build.
