Tinted the inside of the ‘planet’ with Tamiya Clear Blue
Added some white clouds on top. Not sure I 100% like it
Ahhhh I made the clouds too linear across the globe. They need to look like they surround a central pole of the planet. Damn

Then with light on

I think I need to diffuse the internal light a bit more still

Found a blue plastic wrap used for window protection..don't remember why I had it but I knew I did

It will form the blue planet shield that the gate generates in the movie

Busy Saturday and some movement forward on this project
First the shield gate and the blue hued planet protection…I tested and can make that work

Rough fitting and when it is doubled over, it gives more colour. This will work

I 3D printed a clear resin base and resin tubes to accept the main rod and two smaller rods that will support the X Wings
This will make more sense after it is all cured up and assembled

Can't pass up a comment about Rogue One being a good movie. I loved it and would put it up there with the original trilogy. Even without the epic Vader scene, its still a great film, full of stunning imagery and fantastic story and action. With all the talk about the changes they made late on, I would love to see a Director's cut but am told it will not happen.
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.
