Hellcat update & how to play with lighter fluid as thinner

Hullo there fellow modellers :)

I've posted two updates on progress in building F6F-Hellcat for Jake Cutter's Carrier Aircraft Group Build.
In last vid (update #5) I play with lighter fluid as the thinner for oil paint based wash :) quite interesting live-organism test ... :D

Found these pictures of a F6F-Hellcat and the headrest is black, hope this answers your question
