Modern Armour GB?

Post by Mambri »

Hi, my name is Javier, I'm from Spain, and I'm new to the forum as well as to the hobby. Probably is because i didn't looked for it too much, but i've seen few Modern Armour Group Builds in the site and I think it would be nice to have one.

I just want to show the M1A1 that I'm gonna build, haha

I also don't know how to enter group builds or even if I can, because my country hasn't been in a war since a while.

This is the kit that I want to build:

I know it isn't the best model out there, but I don't wanna spend 60€ on the Tamiya one, mainly because I'm unexperienced and I don't wanna ruin it like I did with my Leopard 2E (Spanish variant for the Leopard 2 A6 I think...). I'll instead spend 32€ on this, wich in my opinion has great detail (I've seen a couple of reviews) for the money it costs.

I also want to point out that I started this hobby not because I have a military past, or background, I'm not even 18 haha (this February the 21th I'll be 18), I just started it because it's fun.

Hi Javier, welcome to ISM!

You've got my yes vote for a GB. Although the ISM GBs for 2014 have already been chosen, if you get enough interest and speak nicely to Lee and Paul, you could maybe set your own up on here.

Great looking kit btw :th:

Hey dude, I'd join in with this. However, the first reply to your thread is saying it's from me, (on my screen anyway). It's not, I don't know how that's happened!?

I'd like to see this happen. There are many modern armor kits I want to build like Meng's Bradley and T-90.

I suppose that would be down to the GB mods to arrange. Personally, I class anything post 1945 as modern armour.

I do not have to decide but I would say yes.
It is armored...
It was introduced after 1975...
And as far as I can remember, there is no size restriction
