STURMTIGER AFV Club 1/35

Post by Lego »

I call this model " MISS PIGGY"

Big thanks to Coen for putting a video tutorial on how to apply Zimmerit.

So 19 of these beasts where made from recovered tiger tanks. Absolute mental design  So ya rolled up to a building in one of these pigs fired a shot and hey presto the building ain't there no more. These mortars saw some action in Warsaw and the bulge but not much is really known about combat action. So I based my build on the odd picture here and there and on the basis this was purely for urban combat and would not be covered in mud.

Was a nice kit to build apart from the stupid tracks. They ended up breaking the wheels off trying to fit them. Wish I could afford fruils on every model :violin:

Thank you kindly for all the kind words.

Coen, I just slapped some clay on a piece of plastic and cut the bricks out with a knife. I like the effect it gives. I especially liked the cracking but it just cracked a little to much. I am going to post a few pictures of it in another thread and see if I can get a wee bit of help on it for a future design.

Great looking Surmtiger, one that's definitely on my to-do list, great model all round and well finished, i like the missing heat shield and the zim the painting is a peach, very nicely done indeed.
