OOB 1/35 Tamiya Challenger 2 Desertised

Post by Northboy321 »

Hi chaps here I am gain with another armour build. I have got the armour bug since finishing my first tank build in September and really enjoy the paint and heavy weathering armour can offer. For this build I tried a cuple of new techniques, firstly the hairspray chipping technique and secondl painting the crew figures.

All paints are Tamiya arcylics and washes are home made enamel washes.

So on to the photos

The figures painted by brush and given a little dark wash to bring out the detail, really happy with the results.

And the finished tank, (sorry about the lighting still working on a better setup)

Superb builds thank you for sharing the builds, i can't believe how well those fire extinguishers( i hope that's what they are but don't quote me ;-) ) look, the fine detail of the weathering, and the fuel leak, very believable look.

Awesome mate. I recently finished this kit, but as a BATUS vehicle, rather than the destertised one. I also painted the crew in MTP rather than dessie DPM for something different.

Yours has turned out really nicely, nice weathering as well!

Many thanks Gav0909,

Just checked out your build on your you tube channel, fantastic job. I really like the BATUS camo scheme and your figures are top notch. Its really interesting to see how different the same figures can turn out with different paint finishes.
