Hi from North wales

Post by Casper »

Hello from wales to everyone on the forum

I have been reading a lot of the forum posts and admiring the builds for some time and I must say you guys make some cracking models
I have been building models on and off since the 80,s and love a new challenge when time allows. Lost my mojo in recent months with one thing and another  but I am starting to make a return to the bench. I love listening to music while I work and have a couple of glasses of grouse (for medicinal purposes of course ;) ) but don't tell the Mrs :D
Currently working on a 1/12 Bentley Blower Diorama, Barn find diorama, and a couple of Tamiya bikes amongst other small projects.

Hello and :welcome: to the ISM forum Casper.

If you haven't already had a look when you get a moment please check out the forum guidelines which can be found ---> here

I've seen from some of your posts already that you've already got the hang of linking photos from Flickr but if you need any more hints there is a quick guide on how to use the Flickr integration on the forum ---> here

As well as the forum boards there is a really useful Modeller Toolkit available which can help with paint matching, paint thinning, glue types & a scale calculator that can be found ---> here

We'll also be running a number of group builds & special interest groups through the year so feel free to enter any of those that you like the look of.

Otherwise take a look around and join in, and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Have fun!
Cheers, Neil

Welcome Casper :welcome:

I love listening to music when I'm at the bench. Depending on the mood, its pop albums (loving the Killers right now), movie soundtracks or playlists of songs / themes compilations.

Haven't started on the alcohol yet, I'm dangerous enough with sharp tools without the effects of a nice G&T :th:
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

As for the Alcohol it purely medicinal ;) honest  On a serious note I'm not a big drinker, just love a good whiskey when I'm chillin in my mancave :D :cheers2:

I think I'm more of an onlooker after the scene than a Victim. I got their new album and greatest hits for Christmas after hearting their stuff on Radio X to and from work.

great band, would have loved to have seen them live. sorry for the "victim" label, its just a term they use for their fan base.

Thanks - the rolling stock is more of a distraction now and again. My main focus is 1/48 aircraft. You'll find some of my threads if you look for them!

Welcome to the forum, get stuck in, post your builds, comment on other peoples' work, get involved in any chat that's going on.

This is a great place for every kind of modeler, free of criticism (unless specifically requested) and always positive. We like to laugh at ourselves and hold things pretty lightly. We'll have the occasional serious discussion but we try and play nicely if we can.

We live and die by content so post as much as you can, we want to hear from you :th:
