You've got to hand it to Harry the Hun, they certainly had a flair for the dramatic colour scheme

What a ridiculous looking wing set up; five wings is quite silly, really
There is no rear support for the top wing, might have to add something in like a brace :
Someone was smoking something funny when they designed this

Tis the American way. Why use a grenade if you've got an F15 with a 1000lb J-DAM orbiting at 25,000 feet!

This is something maybe we can all work on during a Fall Figure Fest sig…painting skin and faces
Likely my weakest area of modelling

So for the Baron, I primed black…difficult to cover later as it turns out
Light flesh tone and let it dry. Then normal and shadow flesh tones

Chin is the light flesh tone still
Image

Working in the other two tones

Image

I think the black primer is good on a small figure with lots of nooks and crannies in their outfit, but for a big honking head, I wished I had done more of a reddish/pink skin human tone as background

Finished off one wheel spoke lacing. Test fitting wheels loose
This was a bit harder as the tires are on the rims, so I had to angle the spokes into place and it made placement much more difficult than a free open center hub. But it got done.

I refined my hold down for the spoke jig
This was a leather washer and then I dropped that midddle metal screw part on the floor and lost it!

Got the lathe working and made a brass screw with a threaded tube soldered through it so it that can be used either way around

If you lift the ring, the lights dim quickly and go out fully at 2cm from it.

Just doing some serious catching up - this is superb work.

I love the woodwork, especially on the prop and the engine looks superb.

Re-spoking the wheels is just insanity but the results look great - I wouldn't let the minions loose on them!

Looking forward to the next update now I'm all caught up :D

P.S. Ref priming for flesh tones see if you can find a dark brown tone as that'll help act as a shadow coat for the flesh tones
Cheers, Neil

Re-spoking wheels is so easy, I will have to do a little video of it for our Forum tutorial section
Dark brown base would be an interesting start for flesh

Certainly not an old scraggly balding guy with an eye piece...looks more like me!
