Photo etch wipers

Post by Richo »

Hi

I recently purchased a set of ABER 24012 - 1:24 Wipers. I have absolutely no idea how they actually attach to the car as their is no pin on the wipers that I can use to attach them to a drilled hole in the car. Anyone used these before? Any tips?

Looks like you might need to put a little pin on the car itself and connect to the hole on the arm
I can't post pics from my work computer, but will try to help more later.

I'm just thinking out loud here but does the plastic kit wiper fit 'inside' the PE folds ?

Hi there,

if I'm not mistaken, the product instructions indicate that the PE wipers be located on or below the windscreen, without any fixation points.
You can view the instructions here, bottom image.

Thanks Tommy, yes I have the instructions. It looks as though I will have to straddle the PE wipers on the bottom frame of the windscreen? This will mean when I install the front windscreen that it won't fit flush on the frame unless I sand out a nook for the wipers to sit into?

Yes Richo, it would appear to be so. I would suggest to add a (very) small piece of thin plastic rod to the bottom of the PE parts, as a vertical connection point, and in order to balance out the height of the windscreen frame...
